HC Deb 12 February 1969 vol 777 cc343-4W
Mr. Woof

asked the Minister of Power if he will give the latest estimate of the cost of converting domestic premises to North Sea gas; what effect the difference over the original estimate is expected to have on the capital cost of the total operation; and how extra capital will be provided.

Mr. Freeson

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Orpington Mr. Lubbock) on 11th February.—[Vol. 777, c.253.]

Mr. Lubbock

asked the Minister of Power if he will publish an estimate of the quantity of natural gas available from the Lockton field, in millions of therms per annum; and when he expects the maximum production rate from this field to be attained.

Mr. Mason

Appraisal of the Lockton field is not yet complete and production arrangements have not been settled. Present indications however are that this field is small compared with the offshore fields from which gas is being produced.
