Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what research he has undertaken into the effects of the drug ICRF 159 and, in particular, its effects in the case of children suffering from leukaemia; and what research he is undertaking into the effects of the drug on those in the older age group.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsThe Medical Research Council is aware of the preliminary report on the effects of ICRF 159. This work is at a very early stage and the Council has no immediate plans for a formal trial; though it will, of course, be watching developments.
