asked Her Majesty's Government:

"What are the names of the directors appointed by the Government to the boards of private companies in receipt of financial assistance under the Local Employment Acts and the names of the companies to which they have been appointed.

  1. (a) 1st July and 31st December, 1966,
  2. (b) 1st January and 30th June, 1966,
  3. (c) 1st July and 31st December, 1965;

(3) the amount of carcase lambs imported into the United Kingdom from the Republic of Ireland between—

  1. (a) 1st July and 31st December, 1966,
  2. (b) 1st January and 30th June, 1966,
  3. (c) 1st July and 31st December, 1965.

Information about individual companies which have applied for assistance under the Local Employment Acts is confidential. Four part-time directors who have been appointed to companies in receipt of financial assistance under the Local Employment Acts, are still serving but no new appointments have been made for some time.
