asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many thalidomide-damaged children in England and Wales are in school; and of these how many have gone to normal schools.

At the end of 1966 in England and Wales 176 of the 262 children suffering from severe deformities attributable to thalidomide were at school; 92 were at ordinary schools. The remaining 86 had not reached the age of five.
