§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will advise local educaiton authorities 214W about the maximum prices which they should be prepared to pay for school equipment, in particular for the new teaching aids.
§ Mr. CroslandNo. My Department already encourages local education authorities to join consortia for the purchase of furniture and equipment in order to obtain the best value for money. The Educational Foundation for Visual Aids provides advice on teaching aids, and I hope that the new National Council for Educational Technology will extend and strengthen this service.
