HC Deb 17 April 1967 vol 745 c12W
Rear-Admiral Morgan Giles

asked the Minister of Health what consideration he has given to the compulsory registration of cancer patients.

Mr. Snow

This was considered some years ago, but considerable success has been achieved in registration on a voluntary basis and my right hon. Friend does not consider that compulsion would be of value. It is estimated that about 90 per cent. of all patients up to age 65 referred to hospitals are now registered.
