§ Mr. MayhewAll three Services have commissions open to S.R.N.s of either sex, except that in the Navy members of Queen's Alexandra's Royal Nursing Service are civilians with officer status. The opportunities for advancement depend on the number of vacancies and this is set by the needs of each Service.
