HC Deb 21 November 1963 vol 684 cc141-2W
Mr. Lubbock

asked the Minister of Health how many man-hours are lost to industry through dental illness.

Mr. Wood

I have been asked to reply.

I regret that comprehensive information is not available. The number of days of incapacity for work attributed to "diseases of the teeth and supporting structures" among persons insured for sickness benefit in the year which ended on 3rd June, 1961 (the latest for which figures are available) is estimated at some 650,000.
