§ Mr. Lubbockasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action he has taken to correct the retarded development of children on St. Helena, as reported by a nutrition consultant of the World Health Organisation.
§ Mr. SandysAll school children receive a third of a pint of reconstituted milk daily during term time and twice weekly take fish liver capsules containing 4,000 I.U. Vitamin A and 800 I.U. Vitamin D. In addition over 500 children (one-third of the total number) receive a free meal daily of bread, margarine, cheese and fruit.
