§ Mr. Denzil FreethSince the war a good deal of experimental work on the way in which birds navigate has been and is being carried out in this country, Germany and the U.S.A. The available evidence suggests that migrating birds make use of landmarks and the Sun's position by day and star patterns by night. Present knowledge does not offer any prospect of diverting migrating birds from this country.
