§ Whether they will make a statement about the rates of awards to be made in the forthcoming academic year by the Research Councils to postgraduate students in science and technology.
§ VISCOUNT HAILSHAMHer Majesty's Government are aware of the need for an early announcement. Unfortunately, it is not possible to make a statement to the House before it adjourns for the Whitsun Recess, but these rates will be announced very shortly.
