§ Mr. Lubbockasked the Minister of Transport if he will examine the possibility of re-routing the south orbital road to avoid the densely populated neighbourhoods of Orpington.
§ Mr. MarplesA preliminary line for this section of the road passing some two miles south-east of Orpington is shown in the Kent Development Plan approved in January, 1958. Kent County Council, as my agent authority, are now surveying a detailed line. I must await the results of this before I can publish a draft Order under the Highways Act, 1959.
