HL Deb 22 June 1961 vol 232 cc805-6WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of the fact that the pistol with which the late John Hall killed two policemen and wounded another was legitimately obtained, they will discuss as a matter of urgency with the National Rifle Association and the National Small Bore Rifle Association the rules applying to the acquisition and control of pistols for sporting purposes.

My right honourable Friend is considering with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis whether, in the light of the case mentioned, any action is called for in connection with the administration of the firearms regulations.
