Leverasked the Minister of Health the number of eight horsepower motor cars at present on issue to severely disabled war pensioners; whether he proposes to widen the scope of eligibilty for supply of a motor car so as to increase the numbers on issue to the agreed 2,100; and whether he is now able to announce the Government's intentions about the supply of a more suitable vehicle for severely disabled war pensioners to replace the single-seater tricycle at present on issue.
§ Miss PittThe number of cars on issue on 31st December, 1959 was 1,793. My right hon. and learned Friend has not yet completed his review of the possibility of replacing war pensioners' tricycles by larger vehicles.
