Mr. Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will now recommend the appointment of a Royal Commission to visit the Bahamas to inquire into the conditions necessary for the extension of responsible government, the state of race relations and the need for legal sanction for the encouragement of trades unions.
§ Mr. ProfumoThe question whether a commission should be recommended is still under consideration. The House will be informed of the decision as soon as possible.
