§ 58. Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that Government hours of business in Nigeria are from 7.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. whereas those of business are from 8 a.m. to 12 mid-day and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and what steps are being taken to co-ordinate the working day between Government and business.
§ Mr. ProfumoI understand that the question of Government hours of business, which vary both between Regions and Departments, is shortly to be discussed among the Nigerian Governments. It is very much a domestic matter for these Governments to decide in the light of local conditions.
