HC Deb 26 November 1957 vol 578 cc97-8W
51. Mr. Swingler

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if his attention has been drawn to the numerous errors detected by the principal auditor in his examination of the accounts of the Seychelles for the year 1956; and what action is being taken to improve the standard of accounting.

Mr. Profumo

The Principal Auditor's Report for 1956 shows that there has been a continued improvement in the standard of accounting since 1954. Additional measures have been taken during 1957, which should lead to further substantial improvement.
