§ 19. Mr. J. Hyndasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the dislocation of communications caused by the cessation of the air service to and from Bukoba, Tanganyika; and what steps are being taken to make the airstrip serviceable again.
§ Mr. Profumo:Yes. Although the air service to Bukoba was recently withdrawn by the local company responsible for its operation, the airfield has not been closed and has continued to be used by other aircraft. A limited service is being resumed from the 9th May.
