§ 78. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies in view of the completion of the Togoland plebiscite, when he expects to receive from the United Nations Trusteeship Council their assessment of the results and their published conclusions; and whether Her Majesty's Government will request the Trusteeship Council to make recommendations in respect of the particular needs of the Ewe people.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe United Nations Trusteeship Council will consider the report of the U.N. Plebiscite Commissioner in July. Their recommendations should be available about the end of that month and will be considered by the General Assembly in November. As to the last part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) on 15th May.
