HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 c144W
107. Mr. F. Maclean

asked the Minister of Works whether, in view of the hardship involved, he will consider his Department's refusal to remove the works erected by them on land belonging to Lieut.-Colonel Cary Owtram of Newland Hall, near Lancaster.

Mr. Stokes

The removal of these works was not thought to be essential in the public interest. This decision was taken in consultation with the Ministries of Agriculture and of Local Government and Planning, and I see no reason to depart from it.
