Mr. Adams

asked the Minister of Works what percentage of available building and civil engineering labour in the county of London are employed on housebuilding, repairs and maintenance, and other building work respectively; and what were the comparable figures for 1948 and 1938.

It is regretted that no details are available of the employment of building and civil engineering workers in the County of London, but the percentages employed on house-building, repairs and maintenance, and other building work in the London Region are estimated to have been as follows:—
