HC Deb 02 November 1948 vol 457 cc58-9W
115. Mr. McAllister

asked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that it is the wish of the families of the six members of the R.A.F., A.F.O. W. Ross McNaughton, F.O. Rowland Tibbs, P.O. Howard F. Edmunds, Flight-Sgt. John Hague, Sgt. Charles Higgins, Sgt. Alfred Supkovitch, that their bodies should continue to rest in the cemetery at Saint Germain la Ville, Marne; that the view of the families is supported by the mayor of the town, M. E. Appert; and if he will take steps to see that the War Graves Commission respect these views and do not transfer the bodies to another cemetery or to another grave.

Mr. de Freitas

Yes, and there is no intention that the bodies of these officers and N.C.O.'s should be transferred from the graves where they now rest.
