§ 92. Mr. Bingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government will take the initiative in approaching the Governments of the U.S.A., U.S.S.R. and France with a view to negotiating an amicable agreement with the Governments of the States comprising the Middle East for the joint assistance in the development of the oil resources of these countries.
Mr. McNeilNo. As far as my right hon. Friend is aware, the Governments of the Middle East have evinced no desire to receive any such joint assistance from the Governments of France, the United States of America, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the United Kingdom.
