HC Deb 11 March 1947 vol 434 cc162-3W
91 Mr. King

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will grant special permission to two parents, whose particulars have been supplied to him, to visit their son's grave in Germany.

Mr. Bellenger

Visits to occupied countries by private individuals must, owing to the present extreme difficulties regarding food, accommodation and travel, be kept to an absolute minimum, and I regret that it is not yet possible to permit visits to war graves. This matter is, however, under consideration by the Departments concerned.
