HC Deb 04 February 1947 vol 432 c321W
83. Major Beamish

asked the Secretary of State for War why no decision has yet been taken to grant the General Service Medal, instituted in 1918, to those who have served, and are serving, in Palestine under arduous conditions involving considerable risk; and how the Government propose to reward these services.

Mr. Bellenger

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave to the hon. and gallant Member for North Blackpool (Brigadier Low) on 29th January.
