§ 68. Mr. Hoggasked the Minister of Food for what reason the sale was advertised in the " Egyptian Mail," of 10th May, 1946, of 76,815 lb. of R.N. chocolate to be sold through the victualling store officer of Levant; and why the chocolate was not reimported into the United Kingdom for the purpose of increasing children's rations.
§ Sir B. Smith" Navy chocolate "Is a drinking chocolate made to a special Admiralty recipe. It contains a considerable quantity of starch and would not be suitable for consumption by children; in any case I am advised that the chocolate in question would not have been fit for human consumption after being transported back to this country.
