HC Deb 04 March 1946 vol 420 cc21-2W
108. Mr. Hurd

asked the Minister of Supply and of Aircraft Production how many of the War Department's civilian vehicles stored at Bucklebury Common, Berkshire, have been released for reconditioning for sale to the public; and how many have been taken to Yorkshire for destruction.

Mr. Bellenger

I have been asked to reply. Two thousand and seventy-three vehicles have been sent from Bucklebury to a Ministry of Supply depot in Yorkshire since 10th October, 1945. They are not sent to this depot for destruction, but to await disposal. I understand that none of these vehicles has been released by the Ministry of Supply for reconditioning for sale to the public.
