§ Mr. StracheyInstructions have been issued for the destruction of secret equipment which the Services will not require. Overseas commands have also been authorised to destroy some surplus equipment which is obsolete or obsolescent. This is sometimes the only practicable way to dispose of miscellaneous spare parts that were shipped overseas in large quantities during the war.
