HC Deb 14 October 1943 vol 392 cc1093-4W
Dr. Little

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland at what date the Scottish Legal Insurance Company ceased to provide dental treatment for its health-insured members, and when such payment is likely to be renewed to them?

Mr. Johnston

The Scottish Legal Health Assurance approved society has been unable to provide any benefits supplementary to the statutory benefits since July, 1931, as the statutory valuations have shown that no surplus funds were available for the purpose. I regret that it is not possible to say when the provision of dental benefit by this Society can be resumed.
