§ Mr. EdenI am of course only in a position to speak on behalf of His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom. So far as they are concerned, I can assure my hon. Friend that the sufferings caused to innocent people by the German policy of the compulsory deportation of civilians from the occupied countries of Europe will be a very relevant consideration in determining postwar arrangements in Europe.
