§ Mr. Stokesasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that persons detained in Brixton Gaol under Regulation 18B, are locked in the building at 4 p.m. summer time; and whether, in view of the long hours of daylight, he will have this regulation altered to 8 p.m., or other later hour than 2 p.m. sun time, and also modify the time fixed for the final meal?
§ Mr. PeakeArrangements have already been made that until the end of August persons detained in Brixton Prison under Defence Regulation 18B will be allowed to remain in the prison grounds, when the weather permits, until 7 p.m. and thereafter will be allowed one hour's association inside the prison. It is not proposed to modify the time fixed for the final meal.
