§ Mr. CrossNinety officers and 395 men of the Mercantile Marine are reported to be interned in Germany. They are interned in camps which are inspected by representatives of the American Embassy and of the International Red Cross, who bring defects to the notice of the German authorities, and endeavour to have them remedied. Reports are received of these inspections and of the action taken with a view to remedying any defects which may be found.
