§ Mr. H. MorrisonThe Special Commissioner for London Region is receiving assistance from the military authorities, in the form of approximately 13,000 troops and some 250 lorries. These include Pioneer Companies and Royal Engineer Companies, and they are being employed not merely for clearance work and restoring communications, but also for repairs of the public utility services. In addition, the General Officer Commanding the London Area has on many occasions provided parties of troops to help in rescue work.
