HC Deb 21 March 1940 vol 358 cc2145-6W
Sir M. Sueter

asked the Minister of Health whether he has now come to any decision with regard to giving Watlington, Oxon, a pure water supply?

Mr. Elliot

I am satisfied that the scheme which has been submitted to me is necessary and should be proceeded with as soon as possible. I am advised, however, that there is some doubt whether the quantity of water required can be obtained from the source proposed, and this question is now being considered by the local authority's consulting engineers.
