Arrangements were made in advance to provide for the continuance of air services to East and South Africa in 315W the event of an Italian entry into the war, but recent events have necessitated modification of these plans. While the proposal of my hon. Friend will be borne in mind, there would at the present time be political and operational difficulties in its adoption.
