HC Deb 06 August 1940 vol 363 cc63-4W
Mr. Granville

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether civilians are still employed on Royal Air Force stations and, if so, will he make arrangements to discontinue the practice?

Sir A. Sinclair

The answer to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative. With regard to the second part, steps have been taken to substitute Service personnel for civilians in certain cases, but I see no reason for the wholesale replacement suggested by my hon. Friend.
