§ Mr. Ridleyasked the Minister of Health whether he can give particulars respecting the application made about July last by the Nottingham Corporation for power to borrow sums of money for the purchase of lands as follows: £15,156 for 298¾ acres at Trent Lane; £3,500 for 34 acres near Bagnall Road and Mill Street; and £852 for 14½ acres south of Balloon Wood, Wollaton; whether the purchase of these lands has been completed and if so at what price; and what was the rateable value in each case previous to purchase?
§ Mr. ElliotThese loans were sanctioned in August last and their purchase has been completed at the following prices: Trent Lane £14,800, Bagnall Road and Mill Street £3,410, Balloon Wood, Wollaton £800. Apart from a cottage on the Trent Lane area rated at £26 the lands being agricultural were de-rated.
