HC Deb 02 March 1939 vol 344 cc1483-4W
Mr. Benjamin Smith

asked the Minister of Health whether he will state the number of prosecutions instituted by port health authorities during 1937, in respect of failures to remedy nuisances or defects in crews' accommodation?

Mr. Elliot

I regret that this information 1s not available. A port medical officers of health is required to give in his annual report particulars of the number of ships inspected, and of the number in which defects are found but not of the number of prosecutions instituted.
