§ Mr. ElliotDuring the week ended the 11th March last the number of old age pensioners to whom outdoor relief in money or in kind was granted in the administrative county of Cumberland was 1,531. The estimated annual cost of out-relief to old age pensioners and their dependants falling to be met out of rates and the block grants is about £35,000 for the county.
§ Mr. Thorneasked the Minister of Health whether he has received the information from the various local authorities about the number of old age pensioners who are receiving Poor Law relief?
