§ Mr. de Rothschildasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been drawn to the practice of adulterating cheese by the addition of water; and whether he intends to take steps, by prescribing standards for cheese under the Foot and Drugs Act, 1938, or otherwise, to prohibit this practice?
§ Mr. ElliotRepresentations have been made to me that the regulations to be made under the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, which comes into operation on the 1st October next, should deal with the composition of cheese, and I will take them into consideration.
