(2) what are the causes of the latest delay in the Rimrose Brook scheme of drainage for Bootle and Litherland; also whether this delay will increase the cost of this scheme?
§ Mr. ElliotI am informed that it is anticipated that this scheme will be completed in three and a half years' time. The estimated cost as submitted is £417,000. I understand that the joint committee have not been satisfied with the results so far of their advertisement for tenders and are considering the position. I cannot say if the cost of the scheme is likely to be increased.
