Mr. Whiteleyasked the Minister of Health whether he will consider the advisability of setting up a committee of inquiry into the causes of rheumatism with a view to its cure and prevention?
§ Mr. ElliotResearch into the problem of rheumatism is already being undertaken by the Medical Research Council as part of their general activities. Investigations are also in progress by the Empire Rheumatism Council. I think it would be undesirable at present to institute another inquiry.
