§ Mr. Hore-BelishaFrom the information at present available there is no reason to suppose that the operations in question could not have been carried out even more successfully by well trained and equipped mechanised forces. As regards the second part of the question, no further reductions in the horsed strength of the British Army beyond those already announced are at present in contemplation.
