HC Deb 16 November 1937 vol 329 c239W
Captain Macnamara

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that there is still a cut of 91- per cent. in the retired pay of Army officers owing to a consolidation of the rates in 1935; and whether, in view of the fact that it has been the general principle to restore all the cuts imposed in 1931, he will recommend the restoration of this cut?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

My hon. and gallant Friend is under a misapprehension. No economy cut was made in 1931 in retired pay.
