HC Deb 24 March 1937 vol 321 c2913W
Mr. Walkden

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the desirability of having transport facilities organised effectively in readiness for any emergency, he will urge the Traffic Advisory Council to report, without further delay, upon the co-ordination of the principal transport services and the regulation of freight-carrying charges as between roadway and railway undertakings?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I will call the attention of the Transport Advisory Council to the hon. Member's views.
