§ Mr. T. WILLIAMSasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can state the cheese factory capacity in this country in 1933 and the capacity at the present time; and can he give similar figures for butter and condensed and dried milk?
§ Mr. ELLIOTI regret that I have no information as to the total capacity of the factories which manufacture milk products. The following figures, which have been supplied to me by the Milk Marketing Board, show for the years 1933–34 and 1934–35 the intake of milk for1406W manufacture into cheese, butter, condensed milk and milk powder at factories in England and Wales which have been approved by the Board for the supply of milk at manufacturing rates.
