HURDasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in order to show the real position in regard to agricultural wages, he will obtain from the county committees set up under the Agricultural Wages Act returns of the average of the weekly wages, including special rates and overtime, now being paid to adult workers in their areas?
§ Mr. ELLIOTI regret that, as I stated in a reply to my hon. Friend on 27th May last, statistics of the actual earnings of agricultural workers are not available. The Agricultural Wages Committees are not in a position to furnish particulars of the average wages actually paid to the various classes of workers in their areas.
