asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been drawn to the concern which is felt by those interested in the question of light horse breeding owing to the proposal to withdraw the Government grant;

I have received a number of representations with regard to the need for assistance for light horse breeding, and I am in consultation with the other Departments concerned. I am not yet, however, in a position to make a statement on the subject.—
