§ Major ELLIOTThe annual Treasury grant paid to Armstrong College on the recommendation of the University Grants Committee is £44,500. During 1930–31 the following sums were also received from other Government Departments:
£ Board of Education (under Regulations for Further Education for School of Art) 2,400 Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries 9,670 Forestry Commission 100 £12,170 The Treasury grants to university institutions are periodically reviewed, and in the absence of necessity for earlier review the next review will be in 1935.
