§ Mr. DAYasked the Postmaster-General the approximate number of letters that have been held up or stopped by the postal authorities in Great Britain from being forwarded to the secretary of the hospital fund sweepstake at Dublin; and whether these letters have now been returned to the original senders?
§ Mr. LEES-SMITHAs stated in the reply of the 19th instant to the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Chorley (Mr. Hacking), the approximate number of letters which have been stopped is over 9,000. With the exception of seven letters which did not contain the senders names and addresses, all the letters containing remittances have been returned to the senders.
